NYAMASHEKE DISTRICT STRENGTHENS PREPARATIONS FOR THE 2026 NATIONAL O'LEVEL AND A-LEVEL EXAMINATIONS

As part of its efforts to ensure the effective organization and proper administration of the 2026 National O-Level and A-Level Examinations, Nyamasheke District convened a coordination meeting on 13 July 2026 at the District headquarters. The meeting brought together District and Sector education officials, representatives of the National Examination and School Inspection Authority (NESA), and security agencies responsible for safeguarding the examination process, including the Rwanda National Police (RNP) and the District Administration Security Support Organ (DASSO), to review the guidelines governing the conduct of the national examinations.
The meeting was chaired by the Vice Mayor in charge of Economic Development, Mr. Muhayeyezu Joseph Désiré, who called upon examination centre managers, supervisors, and all institutions supporting the District during the examination period to discharge their responsibilities with diligence and professionalism. He emphasized the importance of strictly adhering to the established examination guidelines to ensure that the examinations are conducted in a fair, secure, and orderly manner, in line with national standards, and that they yield satisfactory outcomes for Nyamasheke District.
Nyamasheke District has designated 31 examination centres across its sectors to host this year's national examinations. On 15 July 2026, a total of 9,153 candidates are expected to sit for the examinations, including 5,817 Ordinary Level (O-Level) candidates completing lower secondary education and 3,336 Advanced Level (A-Level) candidates completing upper secondary education.
